Opie here...I've been reading the stories on the SWAT page to get some idea of what to say. My story is a little different. My mom got me when I was just a puppy; that was March of 2014 so I'll be celebrating #2 in a few months. She had me neutered, kept me up to date on all my shots, gave me my flea/tick treatment and heartworm treatment every month...nothing but the best for me. (My aunt is a  vet and she loves me too). We used to play a lot so I know LOTS of words and lots of other stuff that make me a really great dog (like I am completely house trained, don't chew, dig or get into stuff that I shouldn't). I am an Australian Shepherd and that makes me a great family dog, working dog, companion animal...you name it, I will be good at it. So it sounds like the perfect life, huh?Well, not so much anymore. She is going to be a nurse someday and that means that she doesn't have time for me like she used to. I stay in the backyard by myself all day and it's really killing me...I'm a boy on the move; I need to be a part of a family. I would do great on a farm (I come when called, don't wander off, am great with farm animals, etc.) or with a family with older kids to keep me busy. (I'm still a little rambunctious so I wouldn't want to jump up or knock over little bitty kids)...but I have absolutely NO aggressive tendencies at all; I'm a sweetheart.
