My turn! I'm Ila (I-la) Some folks would spell it Isla but nope, not my buddies at Chouteau Pound; they're unique, like me! You can't tell from the picture but I have a wonky jaw. When I arrived at the pound in May, it was split wide open. I was having trouble eating and even giving kisses. I can't really say how it happened, you probably don't want to know anyway. I'm better now, eating, kissing, playing with toys...I've got it going on! I'm not looking for sympathy here but they told me to tell you my story. I've never had a human love me until I got here. You know, I mean like wake up in the morning and say "I'm glad you're mine" kind of stuff. I've been kicked around, passed around and basically thrown out. When I came here, I had like a thousand ticks on me, in my ears, eyes and, well, all over; phew, I'm glad when you think about it, I'm better of here than there Here's the thing, I STILL love people. I need someone that's willing to teach me "stuff." There are too many dogs here for them to spend a lot of time with me but I listen hard and try to be the best girl ever.
