My name is Yankee but it should probably be Boomerang. I was picked up in Arkansas by the side of the road and brought to Pryor. We drove around awhile until finally I found my way to SWAT. I was scared, skinny, bleeding; in pretty rough shape. I had two things called "cherry eye" that kept me from seeing all that well and the vet said that I had just given birth and never even got to see my b abies. I do remember that but it's all kind of a blur. I know, what a mess! I went to the vet, got spayed, got my eyes fixed, a manicure, took some time to heal and found my new home. If that were the end of the story, I wouldn't be at the computer and you wouldn't be reading this. It appears that I got a little TOO healthy and started doing the Superman thing...you know, leaping fences in a single bound...so back I came to SWAT. The person who picked me up loved me and wanted me...BUT her landlord said I was an aggressive breed...yeah baby, come here and let me lick you to death! So, here I am. I am Yankee; a young, healthy, (some say beautiful) Blue Nose Pit. I have ZERO aggression, hang out with the chickens, don't mind the cat, love my dog friends. I love to cuddle, crawl up in bed after my foster humans go to sleep, play fetch, go for walks, eat and snore. I am completely house trained, have some basic manners, leash trained and when I get in trouble, I like to go to my kennel and pout. I would really like to get on with my life.
