I’m Zak. I showed up with my brother Zeke a few weeks ago. I don’t know if you caught yourself up on our story, but we were the two dumped pups in the middle of the highway. Our humans just opened the door to the truck and gave us the boot. That was the scariest moment of our lives; dodging trucks, running away from cars and almost colliding with the two wheelers…no thanks. The one car that did st op for us opened the door and put us in the back. Of course, we were scared to death because we thought that that person was going to kick us out somewhere else. We were hoping it wouldn’t be another highway. Instead, the kind citizen brought us to this shelter where we’ve been ever since. No one has claimed us, no one has looked at us and we are terrified of this place. Here are a few details about me. I think I am some kind of terrier mix, but I’m not really sure. I’ll just call it a Heinz 57. I have black and white fur mixed with a little tan making me tricolored, I am a really sweet guy just looking for a place to fit in, I weigh around 45lbs, I am shy but I quickly melt into anyone’s arms and I am around a year old now.
