NOTICE: Checking the box indicates that you have read and understand the following policy: Every dog/cat, unless we have specifically discussed otherwise, has been vaccinated, de-wormed, been given a heart worm preventative and flea/tick killer/preventative (when appropriate) before going to their foster home. We will provide food when needed or for any pet that needs a special diet. Your responsibility is to keep the pet safe, help socialize, train and make them a part of your family when they are with you. We will give you notice of prospective family visits and will pick the pet up for visits if that is the foster family's preference. You are expected to produce the pet upon request from a SWAT volunteer. If there is ever a problem with a pet put in your care and you feel like it is in the best interest of your family and/or the pet to be returned to SWAT, we will take the pet back at the absolute earliest time manageable with schedules. You are not expected to provide veterinary care unless the pet is injured in your home due to negligence. A volunteer will meet with you to answer any additional questions that you might have before receiving your first foster.
