SWAT's POW - Jack, a Chouteau Pound Pals pup looking for Forever. Here's his story: I hear the train a comin', It's rollin' 'round the bend, and I ain't seen the sunshine since, I don't know when. I'm stuck in Chouteau's Shelter and time keeps draggin' on. Hi, I'm Jack. I'm not feeling sorry for myself, I'm just a really good singer…and I have been in prison, TWICE. I was in the prison program whe re I learned how to be a great companion. I know LOTS of commands. Stay tuned for my video. I have come a long way on my snarkiness around other dogs and strangers but I still have issues. My humans told me I had to confess if I was going to be POW so here goes. I do have what they call a "bite history." I have an issue with little people running up to me and touching me. Because of that, I prefer a home without children. Actually, my ideal Happily Ever-After would be a single human and no other pets. I bond really quickly and I don't really like sharing. I would be a great companion for someone that lived in the country with room to roam. I have that Heeler drive in me that makes me a good worker. I'm still young, about 2 and weigh in at 42 lbs. I love riding in cars and trucks and I'm a pretty good co-pilot.
Here's what my prison program human had to say about me: "Jack is a very smart, confident, obedient and loyal dog to his owner, meaning, he will do whatever it takes to serve and protect." He prefers to meet new people on his terms, he doesn't like surprises. However, once he gets to know you, he will love you and do anything for you. "Jack is a very good dog and deserves nothing but the best home and opportunity to be very loved."
